I've heard people say that using stickers to promote your products is
something that only certain types of businesses should use. Such
business owners sometimes tell me that a sticker marketing campaign
might be good for a rock band or a video game, but not for a serious,
respectable business like they claim to run.
Hey, I'm sure their businesses are just as serious and respectable as
they claim, but they are wrong about vinyl stickers being a tool for
only youth or niche markets. The fact is stickers are for everyone,
regardless of what you are promoting, and here's why:
Vinyl Stickers Last
A lot of advertising is temporary. Ads in newspapers get thrown out with
the old news, TV and radio ads are fleeting, but a sticker in a good
location will last for months, especially a vinyl one!
Vinyl Stickers are Random
People get blinded to advertising because they see it all the time in
such predictable locations. But a vinyl sticker can go where no other
form of advertising can, thereby making it far more noticeable and
memorable.
Vinyl Stickers are Cool
Gone are the days when stickers were for teenagers or thought of as
graffiti. Today they are hip collectibles that reveal the relevance of
the products they promote. When a web address is included on the sticker
it can be a major motivator for people to go check out what you have to
offer online, bringing you customers you would otherwise have little
chance to reach.
So is there such a thing as a business that doesn't want advertising
that lasts, goes where other ads do not and which makes your brand look
cool and relevant? Every business wants these things, and that is why I
have found vinyl stickers to be a key component of any successful
marketing campaign, whatever the product.
